This year, ZLRIGNITION and Travel Iowa implemented a digital-ONLY multimedia campaign meant to inspire moms in the Midwest to choose Iowa as a travel destination throughout the year. The 2017 spring campaign features big, bold images showcasing Iowa’s scenic beauty, family adventures, and arts and culture experiences.

The brand’s hub – traveliowa.com – is continuously updated with fresh content, shareable lists and beautiful images that celebrate Iowa’s unique and authentic places. From bucket list bike trails, the best family museums, to a summer to-do list and what’s new in 2017 – the Travel Iowa team uses analytics to guide the creation of diverse and relevant content. 

The “creative hero” of Travel Iowa’s campaign is video storytelling. The “This is MY Iowa” video series grew by two episodes in fiscal year 2017. The Twitty family invites Midwest families along for adventures to Reiman Gardens, The Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum and the Danish Windmill.

While foodie couple Matt & Kim took viewers to dining experiences at Cobble Hill, Bodega Victoriana Winery and the Des Moines Farmers’ Market. Capturing these authentic experiences aligns perfectly with Travel Iowa’s brand and is a great way to share their message and inspire vacation planning.
